The new owner of Pages In Time effective January is Ame Groff of Lancaster. Ame has been making scrapbooks for many years, including nine years as a Creative Memories consultant. She will complete her current full time responsibilities through the end of the year, and then looks forward to opening in the new year with a reopening date to be announced. She will be restocking with new product and will be happy to meet you as you stop in. Ame will begin with hours of Wed-Friday 10-5pm and Saturday 10-3pm.

Store for Sale/Closing

After many months of prayer, deliberation, and consulting with family and close friends, I have decided to get out of the scrapbooking business. Effective immediately, I will take offers for the store and all that comes with it. If an agreement cannot be reached with someone, I will begin the closing process at some point prior to the end of the year. It is my greatest hope that someone will purchase the business, as I fully believe I have the greatest customers in the area, plus I would like to still have this specialty shop serving the area.

It is a bittersweet conclusion for me to have arrived at, but I am really feeling that my calling is to be home with my family once again, as there are changes with them on the horizon and I wish to be free to accomodate those changes.

I will miss the interaction with each and every one of you, from hearing the stories you are scrapbooking, to joking around with you and simply enjoying your company. But I know each one of you will understand my reason for doing this, as I need to put my family first, and follow what I truly believe is God’s call for this next phase of my life.

Due to this decision, I will not be planning any classes or crops after the end of October, so that I can focus on finalizing plans here at the store. I will send out emails keeping you all up to date on the whole process. If I do not receive a serious offer for the store, I will begin the sell-off process, which will include not only the inventory, but also fixtures such as paper racks, tables, and displays, with the intention of being finished no later than year’s end.

If you are a gift certificate holder, or know someone who is, please redeem it as soon as possible. Also, please redeem any full punch cards you may have in your possession. I will no longer be punching or redeeming cards when I begin the closing sales. Also, if you have kits or special orders that you have been notified about, please pick them up before I begin the closing sale, as I will not be able to discount special orders.

Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement, and kind words over the past 5 1/2 years. This store has been more than a job for me in so many ways, and I’ve grown greatly in the process!

Life Changes..

and sometimes that is the hardest thing to accept, but sometimes it is what makes life exciting! I have a daughter that is getting married next year, one that is beginning college in the fall, one that is looking forward to driving next summer, and a son that is growing like a weed! But you know what? I wouldn’t trade my life for anyone else’s! The only drawback is that this means I’m getting older, but that’s inevitable right? But what this also means, is that photographs are the easiest way to track all these changes. And having photographs lying around is not near as informative as having those photos in scrapbooks! Ah ha! I arrived at my point! Life changes=photographs=scrapbooks!

The Summer CHA show just wrapped up, and that means new paper lines & new embellishments. I’ve already placed several orders, and will continue to view new products over the upcoming weeks. So, make sure you stop in periodically and get those photographs into those scrapbooks!

ahh spring – finally!

I think spring has to be my favorite season of the year. I love to watch the flowers push up, the trees in bloom (although hate the pollen), and the grass green up. I’ve already had my hands in the dirt planting flowers and weeding (don’t like the weeding part!). And now that the temperatures have finally gone up, it feels even more wonderful. Would I really appreciate spring if I didn’t experience winter? Hmmm, probably not as much.

We are still getting a lot of new product here at the store. There have been new releases from My Mind’s Eye, Karen Foster, Best Creation, Fancy Pants…whew! Too many to name. And of course, the Tim Holtz stuff has been slowly coming in also. He is such a tease with his new stuff. Show it on his blog and then makes everyone waits weeks and months for the new stuff to hit the stores. But he is Tim and Tim is good! haha.

We’ve also seen new goodies from Ranger – such as distress stains and the new stickle colors. I’ve gotten all of them in so be sure to check them out next time you are in the store.

I’ve brought in a new company for me. Faber-Castell has been known initially for their products in the art world, but they are crossing over into stamping and scrapbooking. I’m testing the waters with their new “gelato” mediums and big brush pens. They’ve sent along project sheets, so be sure to take one with you for free once you check out their products. I hope to teach a class on them in the month of July. Watch for the details in my June newsletter. Jennifer McGuire uses them with Hero stamps. I will also be getting Copic Certified at a class in Philadelphia in June, so watch for Copic classes to begin here at Pages In Time in July also. Lots of great mediums out there to use – lets try them all!

CHA begins this week!

Do you know what that mean? That means lots and lots of new products – new lines, new embellishments, new tools, new themes. We have already begun ordering, and have already received some new lines from the companies that are sending out early releases. Look for cute new papers from Best Creation in themes of Easter, Safari Girl, Safari Boy, Travel, plus others. We’ve also received the new line from Imaginisce entitled “Animal Crackers”. This adorable line is perfect for your trip to the circus or amusement park, or just general “monkeying around”.

Look for the new spring colors from Flower Soft in our store now, along with spring card toppers.

We are also carrying the brand new “cricut” magazine from Northridge Publishing. This magazine features card, page, and papercraft ideas using the Cricut machine. This magazine will be published 6 times a year, and we have the inaugural issue in our store now!

We have also placed orders with Ranger/Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous for the newest Tim stuff which is a big hit with everyone. These new products will be released over the upcoming months, so watch our newsletter for updates.

Graphic 45 has released two new lines entitled “curtain call” and “le cirque”. Graphic 45 has done it once again with gorgeous papers and embellishments, perfect for cards, scrapping, or decoupaging.

I’m sure I will be ordering more as the weeks advance. The CHA show begins on Jan.27 and is being held in CA. Once my sales reps have arrived back home, I will get a chance to see samples galore!

Gearing up for Christmas

Can you believe that the holidays are upon us?! I certainly can not. It seems like only yesterday that I was buying, wrapping, and decorating for Christmas! How can time go by so quickly? And why does it go faster the older you get?

So, in preparation for the holidays, we are gearing up and stocking up on all things fall, winter, and of course Christmas. We’ve gotten a number of Christmas lines in from Bobunny, SEI, Graphic 45, Harmonie, and Reminisce to name a few. Winter lines are from Echo Park, Best Creation, Bobunny, and Fancy Pants. Color themes range from vintage Christmas colors of dark burgundy and hunter green to a stunning combination of lime green, purple, and blue in some of the winter lines. We are offering several Christmas themed classes including a Christmas squash book, a wooden stocking garland, and a winter squash book. Check out our online calendar on our website for details and times. We will also be hosting a Christmas Open House on Dec. 4th with refreshments, sales, demos, and give-aways.

Our “Buggies and Buds” shop hop has concluded with much success. We’ve already been asked by several if we will be doing it next year, and our answer is a resounding “yes”. So watch your emails and facebook for more details next spring, as we begin planning at that time for the fall shop hop of 2011 (which will also be here before we know it).

The second annual central PA shop hop, known as “Buggies and Buds” has begun. The tour runs from Oct. 7–17, and I have seen many fabulous people in just 3 short days! Let’s see if I can rattle off the new lines that are in our store now…My Mind’s Eye “blackbird” and a few “Lost and Found”, Karen Foster’s wide assortment of new themes, My Little Shoebox’s “Simple Life”, Best Creation’s “Trick or Treat” plus other various lines, 3 Bugs in a Rug’s “Snow Much Fun”, Graphic 45′s “Steampunke Debutante”, “Hallowe’en in Wonderland”, and “Christmas Past”, SEI’s “Kris Kringle”, Imaginisce’s “Cottage Christmas”… well need I say more?
